In light of the Arab Spring, Coginta supported UNDP and UNODC initiative to consult with the public authorities in Egypt, mainly the MOI and the MOJ for developping a multi-year programme. Coginta also supported the consultation with civil society actors such as Police and Citizen for Egypt or Human Right associations.
We conducted a scoping mission jointly with the International Center for Transitional Justice in Morocco in July 2011 to assist the reform of the policing sector.
Coginta was awarded a UNDP contract to draft a cross-national comparative study on local governance bodies of policing. The study will include case studies in Belgium, Burkina Faso, France, Turkey, and South Africa..
Technical assistance mission to programming an inclusive SSR and facilitation of UNPD coordination role for SSR and Justice reform in Guinea Conakry. The mission includes support to national partners in drafting the national SSR priority plan and support to technical steering committees in finalizing ministerial contributions to the national priority plan.
Coginta has been awarded a long-term contract of technical assistance to the "accountability" component of the police assistance project managed by PricewaterhouseCoopers in DRC. We are assisting two legal commissions of the Ministry of Interior in drafting decrees on a General Secretariat for Security and on Provincial and Local Security Committees.
A Consortium member with DCAF and TC Team Consult, Coginta was selected by the Swiss Cooperation Agency as managing agent for policing projects in Romania and Bulgaria for the period 2011-2013. More info on the web site of the Thematic Funds Security of the Swiss Cooperation.
Mandated by DCAF, Geneva, Coginta drafted a study on the federalization of policing in the context of Nepal constitutional change

Coginta, in partnership with ICTJ (International Center for Transitional Justice), provided an introduction to the governance of internal security to civil society organizations and to the Advisory Council of Human Rights or Conseil Consultatif des Droits de l'Homme in Rabat and Agadir from December 2010 to March 2011".
