·                 Application of social sciences methodologies, including statistical analysis, public opinion surveys, victimization studies, and qualitative methods

SELECTION OF PROJECTS

·                 2008. Development for the United Nations Development Programme, Iraq, a policing programme for Basra, in southern Iraq.

·                 2006. Development for the United Nations Development Programme of a 34 million USD project for the reconstruction of the police institution in Southern Sudan . The overall programme includes a prison component for a total of 45 million USD.

·                 2004. Expert in a 6 months evaluation mission of the Law Enforcement Agencies and the state border service in Bosnia and Herzegovina . Main author of the evaluation report. The mandate was financed by the European Union Delegation in Sarajevo .

·                 2001-2005. Main author of Local Diagnostic of Security (LDS) for about 10 Swiss cities or regions, partly in partnership with the University of Lausanne . The LDS combines several methods, including public opinion surveys, to analyse the security situation at a local/regional level and elaborate strategic recommendations for the development of citizen-oriented police services. ·                 2001-2003. Team leader in several evaluation and coaching mission of the University for Police Sciences (ACIPOL) in Maputo , Mozambique , to create curriculum for senior officers and elaborate a strategic planning for the University.
